Best of Breed from the Cannes Lions Festival

Every year The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is host to a wide array of conversation topics. This year one particular topic emerged: Collaboration.

A spirit of collaboration inevitably leads to creative innovation. As the media landscape changes, so do the creative skills required, the channels, and the speed with which things need to be delivered. Collaboration is often the best – or only – way to adapt and progress. Notably, it takes companies – people – brave enough to head for it.

The creative industry in the Netherlands is loaded with these kind of people. In a city that is home to more than 180 different nationalities, with 1.200 bridges playing their part in connecting 2.200 international companies, Amsterdam is a global hub well placed to breed co-creation.

This year our Cannes Lions event, ‘Best of Breed’, celebrates just that. What to expect? In contrast to last year we have kept our show simple and bang on, focusing solely on the stellar award-winning work.

‘Best of Breed’ sees jurors past and present introducing their favourite award-winning work – both homegrown and international – sharing their insights into what makes a stellar collaboration. By the end of the event we will have seen more than 25 hand-picked creative campaigns, introduced by the likes of MediaMonks, Lemz, 180 Amsterdam, DDB & Tribal Amsterdam, Czar, ACHTUNG!, WeFilm, Design Bridge, and more.
