BMW Group koopt Parkmobile

BMW Group wil marktleider worden op het gebied van digitale parkeeroplossingen en heeft daarom een 100% belkang genomen in Parkmoble. Parkmobile bedient nu wereldwijd 22 miljoen klanten in meer dan 1.000 steden.
“Up to 30 percent of city traffic is caused by people looking for parking spaces. The acquisition of Parkmobile, LCC makes us the leading international provider of digital parking solutions and means we can better address the pain point of parking by scaling our offering for customers worldwide,” aldus Peter Schwarzenbauer, member Board of Management BMW AG, en waarvan MINI, Rolls-Royce, BMW Motorrad, Customer Engagement and Digital Business Innovation BMW Group onderdeel uitmaken.
De BMW Group had al een minderheidsbelang in Parkmobile, LLC sinds 2014 en is nu eigenaar van het complete concern met meer dan 100 werknemers in Atlanta, Georgia. Parkmobile Group Europe was al in g=handen van de BMW Group sinds april 2016.
